Hi Christian, Graham, Geert, lists!

First of all: I fully share Grahams position regarding our internal
doings: The label is not important but what we do. This is different
regarding the outside world, however, and I think Geert backed that.
That might be true. But according to Stefan Merten's original mail there
wouldn't have been a problem, as *all* positions are welcome: "leftists
are welcome as anybody else".
Good you quoted me because there I wrote about *people* which are
welcome - not necessarily positions. I think Graham said everything
necessary already.
My main point was that this cannot and must
not be wholly true. There must be at least a consensus not to allow any
kind of sexism, rassism and anti-Semitism.
Well, at least I'm doing that if I find it necessary. Last instance is

Until now this or similar means had helped.
Another point:

But it's not just a idle
question, considering the anti-globalization movement. There the occurence
of nationalist and anti-Semite views is a serious problem, and parts of
the movement fail to clearly react and dissociate oneself from such
positions (cf. the discussion in the German section of Attac). I think
that's partly due to the unwillingness to take a political position beyond
some or other "question of interest", specifically by the unwillingness to
consider oneselves "left".
I think Attac is rather different from Oekonux - for instance in the
breadth of its topic. Actually I can't see how questions where
nationalist and anti-Semite views make sense are really on-topic for
Oekonux. And if they occur we can still consider means to stop that.
We need no label for that.
Mit Freien Grüßen
Stefan
