Nope. The GPL doesn't require you to publish your modifications. The
Apple open source license (I don't remember the correct name) does.

oh yes.  oops.  However, I was thinking of the difference between GPL and
BSD style licensing.  I had in my head something as to the how GPL worked
better in relation to mutual benefit, hmm....
