VN is a foundation with the goal to produce content under the digital license where all uses except a maximum of two are allowed. On VN there is also a institution called demand gap filling fund. Essentially, it allows for a direct and systematic 'cut'n'paste' of the economic value of demand from popular to less popular art. We are also looking for comments which use can be excluded: http://www.vodes.net/rev/btforum/index.php?topic=44.0. There is also an innovative approach as to tackle the issue of "competitor's access" to community funded content ("Opponents" mechanism in Art III).
The Foundation will provide for an internet platform which is funded by a membership fee. In exchange, all money that art generates is used to fund artists directly (via the sale of the personal line of code) and indirectly via the dgff. We are in the built-up phase now and are organising fun events for students. Initial focus on ERASMUS exchange students; we hope this strategy allows for a very efficient international expansion and promotion of the foundation.
