I think there are 2 issues:
- growth in immaterial aspects: that may be considered, given a few
caveats
(such as the material basis on which it may rest), potentially infinite
if we have an "exchange economy" and we have infinite inmaterial "products"
with and artificial price, this products will cause an increasing preassure
on material products consumtions.
Hi Diego,
we can already see how immaterial abundance, as with free software,
transcends the boundaries of the exchange economy; when there is no tension
between supply and demand, it creates huge problems for retaining market
forms, unless you can enforce artificial scarcity; I'm assuming that in the
long run, such attempts will fail
the owners of inmaterial products will use its to buy stuff (aka Bill
gates)
