No, it is not. Please download any free software and then feel the
non-reciprocity. I can guarantee, you will never asked for a give-back.
The facts concerning the financial support are well known. They don't
change anything on the fact, that the peers perform a direct social
mediation and not an indirect one via markets.
Please search for "singly/single free software" and "doubly/double free
software" in the Oekonux archive to understand some differentiations on
this topic.
Btw: free software is neither freeware nor open software. You can use
open source software or FOSS or FLOSS, which are well accepted,
but "open software" is misleading.
