I think you are doing your argumentation only half way but I'm pleased
to be able to complete it for you.

In fact the most basic condition of human life on this planet is that
the sun doesn't become a red giant. If we believe the physicists in
this case then this to happen is several billion years down the road.
So for the next few hundred years there is absolutely no need to
worry. In particular there is no need to worry about eating or similar
far too complicated and irritating concepts.
