Well, I'd even put the question the other way around: At least in the
highly industrialized countries
not an independient system. They are rich because others are poor.
What actually *prevents* ampleness?
The means of production are there, the raw materials are more or less
there,
exploiting 3 world
energy is there [1]_.
only if we dont grow more, and not for a long time
In many ways we basically have all the
things necessary to actually have ampleness for the means of living
for many, many people. Wouldn't you agree?
we need 4 earths to give everyone in the planet the american way of live.

Yet in an exchange based system you "may not eat if you do not work".
in an economic system, that is not related to exchange system
people needed to work before exchange systems developed
In fact this is the basic limitation set by the exchange system.
the exchange system aloud us to work less and feed more people
