Re: [jox-tech] Remaining site issues

Hi Mathieu and all!

I called them "sub" because they are part of the page which to my mind is a category of the site but all I meant was that just like other pages have parts or categories which are in the page navigation bar and in the site map ("journal" has three: "peer review", "people", "lists"), "home" has two parts... "call for submissions" and "submission guidelines".

Ah, now I understand your understanding :-) .

Really the main column is the content and what is in other columns is
more or less independent of the content of the main column. We have a
couple of types of content right now. The important ones are folders
and pages. Folders can contain other stuff and pages are just plain
content.

So what you called sub-categories are really pages in a folder.

I dont know why I've been putting this off. Maybe I'm scared to mess things up. Sorry if you said this already but where exactly should I put these new categories? On the "research" page itself? In its navigation toolbar?

Just edit

	http://cspp.oekonux.org/scientific-committee/website/submission-categories

and create categories as you like. Please try to use short
recognizable tokens and do not use blanks in these tokens.

Perhaps
we could have another category: for links to other > projects? >
-« Resources »?> > > > No problem. But please descide whether

The space in the toolbar for> > top level categories is quite
limited and in the current theme the> > toolbar is full

level?

Mimbo toolbar would be fine, thanks.

This needs to be created still. May be you can do it yourself as a
little trial? Don't worry you can not really destroy something.

1. Login

2. Surf to http://cspp.oekonux.org/

3. Go to the "add new..." tab and select "folder"

4. Wait for the next page

5. In the "Title" field enter "Resources"

6. In the "Description" field enter a description

7. Hit "save"

8. Wait for the next page

9. Go to the "state: private" tab and select "publish"

Now there is a new top level folder called "Resources". You can now
move the new folder to the correct position in the toolbar on

	http://cspp.oekonux.org/folder_contents

but since this is a little complicated I can do this also.
