First of all: thank you!
No problem, sorry I took so long setting it up!
I say COULD because the art of creating a good Wiki is
not a technical one.
+1
I found a first problem that this engine is not handling
Umlaute correctly - can this be fixed?
Really? Can you point me to this bug?
When I installed the wiki I converted the file with the
text strings in it to UTF-8 from ISO-8859-1 -- perhaps
there are other files I have to convert?
This test page seems OK to me:
http://en.wiki.oekonux.org.uk/Unicode
It's served as UTF-8:
$lynx -head -dump 'http://en.wiki.oekonux.org.uk/Unicode' | grep Content-Type
Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
And there is a http-equiv for IE (which ignores charset in
HTTP headers):
<meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
Perhaps it would be best if we use the bug report page on
the wiki for this kind of thing?
http://en.wiki.oekonux.org.uk/OekonuxEnglishWiki:Bug_reports
Also, there is not the slightest mentionning of
formating rules on the edit page. A small subset should
be given (italic, bold, paragraph, headers)
OK, if someome wants to post a suggested text I'll try
and work out how to fix this.
Chris
